PRESTRESSED HOLLOW CONCRETE ELEMENTS
Prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements are a variant of reinforced concrete with Pre-tensioned wire strands. Building with prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements is characterized by unsurpassed economic efficiency and enables every farmer to quickly cover a slurry store that is still open.
In addition, and unlike silo roofs made of wood (or others), no building permit is required for covering a slurry silo with hollow prestressed concrete elements. The influence of the yard and the landscape with hollow prestressed concrete elements, according to the Planning and Building Ordinance (PBO), is equal to “neutral”.
Prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements are considered as “permanently effective slurry storage silo covers” and easily meet all relevant requirements of the implementation guide “structural environmental protection in agriculture”. They are therefore of course considered in Switzerland as “approved slurry storage covers”.
Prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements are used without pillars up to a span of ~20.0 m and do not need a building permit. JBMC Inc will be glad to provide static calculations and construction drawings. Prestressed concrete hollow slab elements are supplied directly by the manufacturer. The coordination and assembly of hollow prestressed concrete elements on site are carried out by JBMC Inc.

The prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements are manufactured using extruder technology in a fully automatic concreting process. They are products of the precast industry that have a high quality standard and low material consumption. The construction times remain very short thanks to a quick installation and flexible recess production, the total construction costs are reduced to a maximum.
PVC end flaps and drainage holes round off the profiles. Fitted and special plates as well as drilling areas are possible; depend on the statics calculation and the specifications of the technical drawings. A rampart can be placed on the plate profiles at any time, taking into account the protection of all wires and reinforcements.
The use of galvanized reinforcing steel Rbr. 420 / 500 is adapted to the structural and static requirements of the prestressed hollow-core-ceiling concrete elements. Hammer head recesses for lateral anchoring and a scissor grab for crane work during assembly are always included (the mobile crane truck is organized at the expense of the farm for the construction period). Delivery is made free domicile (DAP) by semi-trailers with self-steering axles if required.
